Do you let time get away from you? Do you think I will call them or text them later? Do you say to yourself I will schedule a visit later?
We find ourselves so busy running from one thing to the next, moment to moment and never doing the things that are most important such as spending time with family and friends. We get so involved in our own day to day that we don’t stop and think about those around us until something tragic happens and then we say I meant to call or go by, I wish I had more time. We only have 24 hours in a day and I don’t know about you but my days weeks and months fly by.
I have been working on trying to better prioritize my time. Trying to start each morning with the daily word. I have always thought I needed to hear God’s word before the outside world. I have been trying to plan better meals to eat better and trying very hard to get back in the gym as well as making time for friends and family. Life is hard and at times very difficult but we have to keep pushing through and keeping following the path that God has set before us. We have to let somethings go to make that time to spend with family and friends. I tell my children and the girls that work for me don‘t get so busy planning every moment that God has no room to surprise you.
My little shop has been very busy lately and I am forever grateful and hoping it will continue. I have some great staff and currently looking to add one more to my work family.
I had an opportunity to go with my friend to TX who is battling lung cancer. She had asked me and another friend to go. The three of us have been friends for a long time. It came as shock to hear she had lung cancer we would have never thought that in a million years but here we are. We had told her awhile back we would go with her to any appointment that she needed us to go to, we were both willing and eager to help in any way we could.
It was never that I did not want to go but I had my shop, my daughter was off at school I have her dog, my husband is extremely busy with his work, I am short of staff on certain days so I was going to have to ask him to take off work and cover the store it just seemed like one thing after another. I thought about it and thought about it. I really wanted to go, to be there for my friend and to spend some time with her and my other friend. My husband looked at me and said go we will make it work.
I am forever glad I went we truly had the best time and she got an Amazing report!! Praising The Lord for that and the time we got to spend together. Sometimes you just have to put things aside and go because who knows what the future holds.
We got her to all of her doctors appointments, we shopped till we dropped and we got to see the rodeo a real rodeo. It was the NRG and it was awesome the best $20 we could have spent. Our time together was truly priceless!
I say to you today take that time out of your schedule and go spend it with those you love! If you have an opportunity to take a trip take the trip!
Please continue to pray for my sweet friend who is battling lung cancer and I have another friend/sister who is battling breast cancer. There is so many battling this awful disease. Praying for a cure!
