Last week I took sometime out of my busy schedule to spend some one on one time with my daughter. She maybe 20 but she is still my baby!
Each year I try to take her on a little trip just the two of us. Dad is sweet and holds down the fort while we are gone as well as helping out in my little shop.
She wanted to go somewhere tropical so I found a cruise. We both love to cruise so it was perfect. Each year we say we had the best time but we truly had an amazing time. She had just finished her 3rd quarter of DPT school and it was a tough one, she was beyond ready for some down time.
If you have children still at home and its possible take them on a little trip and spend that one on one time with them.
Life gets so busy and so hectic I feel I never get to truly catch up with my family and friends without feeling rushed and trying to get months of life out in 20 min.
I know as she gets older it will get harder and harder to take our little trips so I am truly treasuring our time. We laughed, we talked, we got to think about the future and we for sure ate. I will forever treasure the all the time I get to spend with my children and grands.
We flew to Fort Lauderdale to board the ship, we went on Royal Caribbean Odyssey of the Sea. It was a beautiful boat and the staff was top notch. We stopped at Coco Cay, Aruba and Curacao we loved all but Curaçao was our favorite. I am married to a Dutch man so I may be a little partial. Curacao is somewhere we will for sure go back to.
If you have not been a Royal Carribean cruise I highly suggest it. For us its perfect you have your food, entertainment as well as getting to see different places along the way.
