10 years of owning my little shop. It’s hard to believe that it has been 10 years!
The building we are in was the old shoe store it had been abandoned for at least 8 years maybe longer. There was a tremendous amount of work to be done. My sweet husband worked endless hours renovating and getting it ready to open.
I attended Merle school in LA to train and learn all that I could about the many products. I had some of a background but only in the products I used. My love for Merle is what inspired me to open the boutique.
When we first opened I started with Merle Norman and some home decor and 1 staff member besides my husband and I.
My kids would come after school some till we got off work, I tried to be off by the time they got out of school but that did not always go as planned.
My daughter was 10 when I opened the boutique. She grew up in the boutique and later worked after school and some while she was in college. We went to market together, I loved our market trips. It was time spent finding the next best thing for the boutique but also quality mother daughter time!
Today in the boutique we have Merle Norman, Pandora, boutique clothing, jewelry, kids clothing, 2 candle lines, gifts, shoes, books, journals and so much more. We have 4 staff members who we consider like family.
We had a great celebration with a ribbon cutting, friends and refreshments!
When we first decided to open the boutique I said I would do it for 5 years that has become 10. I don’t know what the future holds but I do know at this time in my life I am exactly where I am suppose to be and that is at Classy Touch Boutique.
